Celebrations at the Franschhoek Motor Museum

Paolo presenting the FMM with the paintingThere was a double celebration at Franschhoek Motor Museum on Sunday 8 October 2017 when a group of overseas and local BMW International club members visited the Franschhoek Motor Museum to view the museum’s exhibits and sample some of the L’Ormarins wines.

A surprise for the visitors took place when Paolo Cavalieri (current owner) performed a couple of demonstration laps around the quadrant in the legendary Winfield BMW E23 745i Modified that won the 1986 Wesbank Modified Saloon Championship in the hands of Tony Viana.

Earlier in the day, a painting of this unique car was presented to the museum by Paolo and Alec Ceprnich, owner of Evolution 2 Motorsport that maintains the car. Workshop manager Lorenzo Farella received the painting on behalf of Franschhoek Motor Museum.
