Race Car Building and Preparation

October 2013: The recently restored BMW E30 M3 Touring CarAs with everything in life, to achieve success you have to work hard and prepare meticulously. This was the cornerstone of an illustrious and successful stint in production car racing in South Africa. To this day, Evolution 2 Motorsport has been approached to rebuild and restore racing cars; and to race prepare vehicles before a race meeting.

Race Setup tends to be neglected by amateur racing drivers and teams. They prefer to look for more power. Pre-Race Setup should include tyre pressure checks, camber, checking the ride height and the cars corner-weights. If you get these right, a car will go faster immediately.

Evolution 2 Motorsport was approached in 2005, by ex-works BMW driver and now race car connoisseur Paolo Cavalieri to restore and build up the late Tony Viana’s Group One Winfield BMW 745i.

Towards the end of 2006 Cavalieri bought and imported a beautiful 1966 Ferrari 250 GTM race car from America. This car was replicated on the original raced by Stirling Moss by the North American Race Team (NART). Evolution 2 Motorsport is privileged to look after such a beautiful vehicle.

From here the Evolution 2 Motorsport and Pablo Clark Racing names have become synonymous within historic racing, and both parties have been recognized as the team who are collecting some of the most sort after race cars available in South Africa.
